For push-based fulfillment, backorders keep the order tied to the original dispatch point. In contrast, Viare’s pull-based model avoids backorders by short-picking unavailable items and sending them back to the Global Pool for fulfillment by another location ensuring faster, more reliable delivery when stock exists elsewhere
